The attenuation range is from 0.8 to 30dB, and is continually adjustable using a screw on the side of the attenuator frame. They are available in single wavelength and dual wavelength.

Fibre coupled fixed attenuators (in-line)

Fibre coupled attenuators are available with SMF28e fiber or Hi1060 fiber and are jacketed with 900um loose tube or 3mm tubing. In-line attenuators can be supplied un-terminated or with FC/APC, SC/APC or E2000 connectors.
Other terminations are available.

Fixed adaptor type optical attenuators

Optical Fibre Delay Line and Fibre Spools


AFW can supply SMF28e bare optical fibre spools connectorised with FC/PC or FC/APC for recirculating loop for the testing of optical communications systems and devices. A span length varies from 50km, 80km and 100km. We can also integrate 1 to 4 fibre spools into an enclosure with various lengths.
